Section titled “Built by DeFi experts”At PennyWorks, we’re founders with deep roots in decentralized finance. After building and managing a successful DeFi fund focused exclusively on high-quality on-chain opportunities, we encountered a critical challenge: existing crypto bookkeeping tools couldn’t keep up with the complexity and scale of our operations.
To solve this, we developed our own comprehensive, robust bookkeeping platform - purpose-built to track performance across a wide range of DeFi activities. As we shared our solution with peers, we quickly realized we weren’t alone in facing these limitations of existing tools.
That’s why we’ve decided to make our platform public - empowering other DeFi investors and operators with the same level of precision, transparency, and control we needed for ourselves.
Leadership
Section titled “Leadership”
Ivan Zhang brings more than ten years of portfolio management and fixed-income derivatives trading to his role leading PennyWorks. He was Head of Delta Execution for FICC Options at DRW, and before that a senior portfolio manager at Bank of America, responsible for the bank’s $500B Treasury portfolio and reporting to the Chief Investment Officer. He has been in crypto since 2012, and ran megawatt-scale mining before the Merge.
Karol Przybytkowski brings more than ten years in leadership roles focused on risk management to PennyWorks. He was a Senior Quant Researcher for FICC Options at DRW, and led a quant team in risk management at Bank of America. In 2016 he and Ivan co-founded the mining company Blockchain Systems LLC.
Marc Homsy brings deep professional services and fintech experience to his leadership role at PennyWorks. He previously served as an Associate Partner at McKinsey & Company, where he advised heads of state, government ministers, and CEOs of financial services firms. He was an early launcher for Uber, and later built Mersive, an AI workflow automation product for finance teams backed by Liquid 2 Ventures. Marc holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.
