Which Platform Is Best for Investing?
Introduction
Section titled “Introduction”Luckily, Forbes Advisor spent six months testing investment platforms across a variety of categories that matter most to investors. Those categories included:
- Commissions and fees
- Platform and technology
- Range of product offerings
- Research and education
- Account security
- Customer service
One important category, however, may have been overlooked: your potential return on investment. After all, at the end of the day, your investments should earn you the highest yield possible.
Exceeding your financial goals has never been easier.
We are fortunate to have access to online platforms that allow us to build wealth more efficiently than ever before. With just a few taps, we can invest in stocks, bonds, mutual funds, ETFs, and more.
Online Brokers
Section titled “Online Brokers”Traditional financial brokerages have developed online platforms to meet growing demand from investors who want greater access to and control over their portfolios. These platforms primarily focus on stocks and ETFs and are a solid choice for retail investors.
New investors may appreciate the simplicity of modern investing apps. These platforms are well suited for those just getting started or investing relatively small amounts of money.
Cryptocurrency Exchanges
Section titled “Cryptocurrency Exchanges”Experienced investors who are comfortable with the volatility of cryptocurrencies may be able to achieve higher returns. However, those returns often come with trade-offs. Time spent monitoring markets and the costs associated with moving assets between protocols can reduce overall yields.
Alternatives
Section titled “Alternatives”Alternative investments such as art or wine can be enjoyable ways to diversify a portfolio, but they generally do not offer the same return potential as higher-yield investment opportunities.
Only a small percentage of today’s online investment platforms provide access to the consistently high yields associated with cryptocurrency lending.
Even fewer make the process easy to use, tax-efficient, and accessible to everyday investors.
Those who are new to crypto are often surprised to learn that participating typically requires managing a cryptocurrency wallet of their own. For many users, securing and maintaining these wallets introduces unnecessary complexity and security concerns.
Fortunately, there are ways to benefit from stablecoin lending yields without the need to own or actively manage a personal crypto wallet.
By never taking direct custody of the stablecoins in the first place, investors can earn consistent returns while keeping security as a top priority.
